"We managed to transform the original scientific project developed under the auspices of CESNET association into a globally operating company. During the past ten years the market has checked us out a great deal, and today, I can say we are going through one of the best periods," said Rostislav Vocilka, CEO of Flowmon, at the start of the conference. "We have embarked on a new decade where we want to keep the position of being a technological innovator and to continue being a reliable partner for our customers, business and technology partners," he added.

As a gift to mark the tenth anniversary, the company introduced a new Flowmon solution for application monitoring - APM Transaction Generator. This will be free to all customers of Flowmon and will allow them active, automated testing of the availability, functionality and responsiveness of their critical applications.

On Flowmon Friday each year three hundred network and security experts, IT directors, representatives of the scientific community and partners of Flowmon Networks meet. Here they have the opportunity to gain knowledge of what is new in the product portfolio of the company and the direction of the tools for the advanced management and security of computer networks. Flowmon is the only company in both management and security fields that has been recognised by the respected analytical agency Gartner. "In the coming years, the industry will follow much more trends such as cloud, the internet of things, software-defined networking and network function virtualisation," emphasised Jiří Tobola, VP of Sales and Alliances of the company, in his presentation.

In the program of the Conference, space was also given to partners and customers of Flowmon Networks. Case studies featured Jakub Mauric from the Fire Protection Institute of the South Bohemian Region (HZS Jihočeského kraje), Martin Rajski from Bonatrans, and Pim van Stam from the organisation NaWas, which in Benelux helps providers of data services to protect customers from DDoS attacks. About the fight against DDoS attacks, Radovan Gibala from F5 also spoke. And Roxana Magdo and Paulo Rebelo from Ixia recapped again the importance of visibility into networks.

The technology partners of the event were F5, IXIA, Novicom, Veracomp, and Vums Datacom. The media of Flowmon Friday was supported by the magazine CIO Business World of IDG, ICT Revue, IT Systems and Reseller Magazine.
